The workshop on empowering community leaders will be held on 14th November 2009 at Athuraliya Community Service Centre (CSC). The sessions on the concept of good governance, application of good governance for social work, the role of a leader, the characteristics of better services and efficient use of energy will be conducted during the workshop. Fifty participants will be participating in the workshop.
AGSL has designed six workshops for identified community leaders on good governance and sustainable development to improve the people participation in the rural development. The primary objective of the project is to capacitate the people at the grassroots level to actively participate in the territorial development process. The selected community leaders from the Community Base Organizations in the territory will take part in this workshop.
