Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between UNDP AGSL and office of Commissioner of Local Government of Uva Province on 15th October 2009 in order to improve the facilities of early childhood development in the province. According to the initiative, seven selected preschools will be developed as model preschools. Under this MoU, selected preschools will be provided with outdoor play equipments, learning aid kit and white board with the objective of childhood development and first aid box with necessary medical items. Respective Pradeshiya Sabhas will maintain the quality and the standard of the childhood development activities in the preschools as models to other preschools in the province.
