The Uva Community Radio will commence the broadcasting of the community programmes supported by AGSL from 12th October onwards. Under this programme there will be 150 community programmes broadcasting to discuss different issues related to the governance, livelihood, health, environments etc, with the concerned communities. The community then will be able to make their voices heard and the respective authorities will give the required attention to their problems. These programmes will be broadcast in Sinhala and Tamil medium depending on the target community and each programme will have15 minutes of air time. The first programme will be on air at the frequency of FM 98.4 on 12th October from 6.45 am to 7.00 am.
