AGSL aims to reinforce the ability of local actors to plan and manage territorial development through an integrated and participatory process. AGSL creates and supports innovative partnerships within a global system of cooperation that links local, national and international actors. Participants include donor countries, United Nations agencies, Governments at national, regional and local level, cities, decentralized cooperation actors, associations, universities, private sector organization and non-governmental organizations.
AGSL believes in a broad cooperation and active participation of different stakeholders in the various fields of interventions. AGSL tries to pool the different development actors interested in cooperating towards improved development of the Southern Province. It is a platform that facilitates the work of local and international actors in different sectors.
There are no limitations regarding new partners as long as their work is in line with AGSL’s approach to human development. Currently a wide range of actors make up the AGSL network:

There are different ways how partners can participate and contribute within the AGSL framework. The level of involvement ranges from funding activities and specific proposals, supply specific technical knowledge and cooperation, establish partnerships to exchange knowledge and experience, coordination of activities, training and capacity building, technology transfer, etc.
